Instrumentation Graph Extension ActiveX
The Graph Instrumentation ActiveX component package provides another group of the ActiveX
components which can be applied in the Graphic User Interface applications. The components
in this package are used not only for display of data, but also for modifying of data(especially for
setpoint changes of control variables). In this package,
there are 6 components in it, i.e., SmartButton, Switch, Slider, Switch Slider,
Knob and Switch Knob.
The latest version of the Graph Instrumentation ActiveX component package is version 3.000. This
version is developped based on the summary of the feedbacks of the Version
2.000 and 1.000 from many of our customers. They provide more powerful
functions for customers to configure what they need, and better
performance enhancement.
The SmartButton component can be used in
any application which needs different kinds of buttons, like Round
Rectangle Button, Diamond Button, Triangle Button, Ellipse Button,
Hover Button, Arrow Button and other user configurable buttons. All
these buttons can be configured to different user interface(Flat, 3D
or Gradient).
The Switch Component is designed for TRUE/FALSE or ON/OFF Toggle Switch. Its user interface can
be fully comtomer configurable which supports customer-provided picture type and many predefined 3D
switch types.
The Slider Component is a versatile input instrument graphic component for slider. It provides
many properties to allow the designer to configure its apperance, especially provide many kinds
of the Markers. The Switch Slider Components takes the same user interface form as the Slider
component, but it is used to provide multiple options for user to select, or to set the discrete value
of the some variables, and the Slider is used to set the continous value.
The Knob and the Switch Knob are similar to to the Slider and the Switch Slider. The Knob is a
multi-purpose and highly customizable graphic round component to adjust the continous value,
where the Switch Knob is a rotaing round switch for multiple options.
You can purchase the all ActiveX Extension Package, or you
can purchase them individually or as bundles. For each control, we will provide
the Help files, manuals and samples which will show you how to apply these
controls to your applications and what functionality the control provides.

The Button control is a primary window control in any
Graphic User Interface application. But VB, VC and other
visual program environments only provide the old fashioned
flat-square button, which does not provide any possibility
to configure its shape, 3D look-and-feel, or gradient face.
So the applications developed using this button always show
people dull user graphic interfaces. In most scenarios,
like industrial Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications,
or the simulation applications, we hope to present the end users
the really true-to-life user interfaces, which can shorten the
learning curve of the applications and increase the interests of
the users to operate the applications.
The SmartButton ActiveX control is designed to enhance your user interface
with an outstanding look and many shape options, which you can apply to create
a new look-and-feel button control inside your applications. With this new
three-dimensional configurable button control, developers can design a new
look to their windows and dialog boxes, using a variety of shapes, surfaces,
textures, bitmaps and icons, colors and fonts.
The SmartButton component can be used in any application which needs different
kinds of buttons, like Round Rectangle Button, Diamond Button, Triangle Button,
Ellipse Button, Hover Button, Arrow Button and other user configurable buttons.
All these buttons can be configured to different user interface(Flat, 3D or
Gradient).

| Switch |
|
The switch is an instrument graphic component that is a TRUE/FALSE, YES/NO,
or ON/OFF toggle switch, and it has been widely used in the industrial
applications. The switch is a multi-purpose and highly customizable graphic
component that can be designed for a toggle switch interface. In general,
the switch is used to graphically (visually) change the binary value of different
switch variables in the SCADA systems or Human-Machine-Interface (HMI) systems.
A Switch ActiveX Control that you can modify to look like switches on all kinds
of electronic and industrial equipment displays a toggle switch. For other
multi-option switches, the Switch Slider ActiveX Control and Switch Knob
ActiveX Control can deal with these kinds of functions.
The Switch Component is designed for TRUE/FALSE or ON/OFF Toggle Switch.
Its user interface can be fully customer configurable which supports
customer-provided picture and many predefined 3D switch types.
Switch ActiveX Control is designed for binary variables such as toggle options.
By using this ActiveX controls, User Interfaces cab be greatly enhanced with an
outstanding look. Many powerful properties are provided for you to configure the
borders, face, and other parts of the switch, then you can design your own
look-and-feel. Mouse operation is the basic feature for user to control
the switch, meanwhile the interface methods are provided for developers
to programmatically to control the switch.

| Slider & Switch Slider |
|
The slider is a versatile input/output instrument graphic component which
has been widely used in the industrial applications. In general, the slider
is used to graphically (visually) adjust or setup the values of different control
variables in the SCADA systems or Human-Machine-Interface(HMI) systems. Of course,
it can be applied in other fields (like Game Simulators, scientific analytic
applications) which need to setup options or adjust control values.
There are two types of ActiveX slider controls, i.e., the Slider ActiveX Control
and the Switch Slider ActiveX Control, where the Slider ActiveX Control is
designed for continuous variables such as pressure control setpoints or velocity
control setpoints, and the Switch Slider ActiveX Control is designed for discrete
event variables such as multiple options. Both controls take almost same
look-and-feel. By using these ActiveX controls, User Interfaces cab be greatly
enhanced with an outstanding look. Many powerful properties are provided for you
to configure the borders, scale, marker, indicator and other parts of the sliders,
then you can design your own look-and –feel. Mouse operation is the basic feature
for user to control the slider, meanwhile the interface methods are provided for
developers to programmatically to control the sliders.

| Knob & Switch Knob |

The knob is a versatile input/output instrument graphic component which has
been widely used in the industrial applications. The knob is a multi-purpose
and highly customizable graphic component which can be designed for a knob
interface. In general, the knob is used to graphically (visually) adjust or setup
the values of different control variables in the SCADA systems or
Human-Machine-Interface(HMI) systems. Of course, it can be applied in other fields
(like Game Simulators, scientific analytic applications) which need to setup
options or adjust control values. A Knob ActiveX Control that you can modify
to look like knobs on all kinds of electronic and industrial equipment displays
a round knob that behaves like a slider or scroll bar.
There are two types of ActiveX Knob controls, i.e., the Knob ActiveX Control
and the Switch Knob ActiveX Control, where the Knob ActiveX Control is designed
for continuous variables such as pressure control setpoints or velocity control
setpoints, and the Switch Knob ActiveX Control is designed for discrete event
variables such as multiple options. Both controls take almost same look-and-feel.
By using these ActiveX controls, User Interfaces cab be greatly enhanced with
an outstanding look. Many powerful properties are provided for you to configure
the borders, scale, panel, indicator and other parts of the knob, then you can
design your own Look-And-Feel. Mouse operation is the basic feature for user to
control the knob, meanwhile the interface methods are provided for developers to
programmatically to control the knobs.
